Flying Heart Brewing & Pub- West Monroe

Drinking a local Louisiana craft brew in a refurbished firehouse is — pardon the pun — too hot of an opportunity to pass up.

After a successful venture in Bossier City, Flying Heart Brewing & Pub has set up in shop in West Monroe. Here you'll find the same devotion to unique beers, fresh food and community commitment. In addition to providing game-changing beer, the brewery also supports several local and national philanthropies.

At Flying Heart, you’ll find beers that include varieties you’ve probably heard of and at least one or two local flavors you’ve probably never tried. Start out with the Firehouse Blonde or Louisiana Amber, milder, light-bodied ales that are perfectly suited for daytime drinking on Flying Heart’s spacious tasting room patio. The 6 of Hearts Golden Ale is another light, warmer weather-appropriate beer, notable for its slight bitterness.

Bolder brews include Milk Maid. It’s a maltier beer that pairs well with desserts. Fans of more adventurous, powerful malt-heavy varieties should look to the Black Heart ale, and beer lovers who aren’t afraid of a wee bit of whiskey will love Barrel 52, a porter that is infused with Bourbon-soaked oak.

Visitors can find all of Flying Heart’s beers only at its brewpub — straight from the source. While you're there, order lunch or dinner from its pizza kitchen, and check out its craft cocktail menu. Keep up to date with what’s brewing at Flying Heart’s website and by following the brewery on Facebook and Twitter.
